General Purpose The senior tax accountant for PacifiCorp is responsible for preparing the Company’s federal, state, and local income tax returns, quarterly estimated tax payments, and conducting income tax research and analysis. Responsibilities of this position include the following: - Participate as a member of the compliance team to prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns. - Tax forecasting and preparation of quarterly federal, state, and local income tax estimated payments. - Prepare tax calculations for annual income tax return, annual and quarterly income tax provisions, annual budget and 10-year plan. - Provide technical input and recommendations for management. - Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. Requirements of this position include the following: - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting - Six or more years of related work experience, four of which is in income tax accounting with a certified public accountant designation or a graduate business degree. If no CPA designation or graduate business degree, eight or more years of related work experience, four of which is in income tax accounting. - Strong knowledge of tax law and procedures, tax research skills, familiarity with various tax returns and schedules. - Strong computer software skills. - Effective oral and written communication skills. - Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
