Location: Medical Center-Prosper Department: Gift Shop Shift: Varying Shifts (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 20 Summary: The Gift Shop Sales Assistant will work under the direction of the Gift Shop Manager and Gift Shop Supervisor to provide excellent customer service in the Prosper Gift Shop. This job requires outstanding people and organizational skills. Must be able to adapt quickly and effectively problem-solve in a fast-paced, hospital retail environment. Our emphasis is on service before sales; the Gift Shop Sales Assistant must have a desire to serve our customer base of patient families and visitors, staff, and volunteers with enthusiasm and compassion. This individual must be able to work independently and as a strong team player to support the daily store operations. Proven cash management skills, strong telephone etiquette and effective communication, and experience operating point of sale or computerized cash register systems is required. Flexibility in scheduling within the store operating hours, which may include evenings and/or weekends, is required. Qualifications: High School Diploma required; some college is preferred. Minimum of 1 year working in a non-profit, customer service role or retail environment is required.
