Emergency Management Coordinator 1 (H) Location: Miami, FL Time Type: Full time Posted On: Posted 2 Days Ago Job Requisition ID: R100082319 The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", Department of Public Safety has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Emergency Management Coordinator 1 to work in Miami. The Emergency Management Coordinator develops and supports emergency preparedness activities for the University of Miami emergency management program. More specifically, the emergency management coordinator will directly support how the University mitigates against, prepares for, responds to, and recovers from all-hazards. This position is responsible for maintaining and creating All-Hazards Emergency Management plans and Business Continuity Plans for the University of Miami Health System&Miller School of Medicine Division of Emergency Management to ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation authorities. Core Responsibilities: Updating and distributing the emergency response plan. Creating and managing campus and University emergency response, continuity, and other plans. Acting as liaison to local fire and police personnel and other external parties. Adhering to University and unit-level policies and procedures. Department Specific Functions: Reporting to the UHealth&Miller School of Medicine Emergency Manager. Creating and maintaining All-Hazards Emergency Management and Continuity of Operations Plans. Planning All-Hazards Emergency Management program. Ensuring development of University Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan and related plans. Supporting response to emergencies and disasters impacting the University. Ensuring compliance with all Regulatory, Accreditation and Standard Setting authorities. Conducting Threat, Risk and Vulnerability Assessments. Valid Driver’s License required. This position may require working nights, weekends, and holidays. Other duties as assigned. CORE QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required or military service honorable discharge required. FEMA ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-700, ICS-800 (Preferred). FEMA ICS-300, ICS-400 (Required to be completed by end of first year of employment). Framework for Healthcare Emergency Management (FRAME) (Required to be completed by end of first year of employment). 0-1 year Emergency Management experience. 0-1 year Business Continuity or Emergency Management Planning experience (Preferred). Must possess initiative, ability, and sound judgment to act independently. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
