We specialize in Orthopedic Surgery, Rheumatology, Neurology, and Radiology. Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a CT Technologist. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for performing medically prescribed radiographic and CT procedures. Job Responsibilities: Demonstrates skill in using the hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to radiology: Correctly chooses appropriate patient information from HIS/RIS system in accordance with HIPPA regulations. Demonstrates ability to access patient information such as appointment times, type of exam, and patient reports. Performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrates reliability by maintaining a good attendance/punctuality record. Adheres to departmental guidelines regarding use of and proper notification in connection with time off. Demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance procedure: Demonstrates effective computer skills in his/her ability to use the CT scanner. Independently implements patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards: Explains the procedure and equipment to the patient clearly. Effectively assesses patients' information and status, and plans appropriate procedure(s) accordingly: Uses standard procedures to identify the correct patient. Minimum Qualifications: Certificate from accredited School of Radiologic Technology. New York State license or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology. Two (2) years experience in CT. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Required Licenses: Radiography - R.T. (R)(ARRT), Radiologic Tech Lic IV-Cert-NYS Preferred Qualifications: Advance Certification in Computerized Tomography. Five (5) years experience in CT. College graduate. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
