Objectives of this Role: Assist with carpentry tasks, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and efficiently to meet the organization's building maintenance needs. Log all completed work using preventative maintenance software to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to tracking protocols. Collaborate with team members to complete repair, installation, and maintenance projects in a timely and effective manner while using Perform routine inspections, identify issues, and carry out necessary repairs or improvements in line with safety and quality standards. Apply carpentry skills to support facility upgrades by constructing, modifying, and installing structural elements as directed by supervisor and project plans. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good condition and ready for use, while adhering to shop safety protocols and best practices. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Install paper towel and soap dispensers, whiteboards, and similar items; modify and install building and parking signs to enhance facility accessibility and communication. Perform flooring repairs, including concrete patching, VCT tiles, and carpet tiles, ensuring all surfaces are maintained and safe for use. Build custom wood items such as crates, shelving, and cabinets per division requests, utilizing carpentry skills to meet specific project needs. Conduct preventative maintenance on wood structures, using preventive maintenance software daily to wrench in, pause jobs, wrench out, and document completion accurately. Repair and replace doors and ceiling tiles, demonstrating general construction experience while maintaining a safe and functional environment. Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with experience in Carpentry or Facilities. Shift work required. 1-5 years: Carpentry Skills: hands-on experience with carpentry, including installation, repair, and modification of various structures and building maintenance. 1-2 years: Preventive Maintenance Software: experience using maintenance software to log work, document tasks, and manage job workflows. 1-5 years: Tool Operation: experience operating hand and power tools safely and effectively in a carpentry environment. 1-5 years: General Construction Experience: experience in general construction tasks, including repairs and modifications to existing structures. Working outside could present a range of environments, including hot/cold temperatures or wet/humid conditions. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
