Overview Interstates is growing, and we are currently seeking an Estimator to join our Estimating Team for our Sioux Falls or Sioux Center offices. The Estimator will be responsible for estimating electrical industrial automation projects. Interstates Describes Its Culture as: Family-Like Caring co-workers treat each other like family Be treated like an individual, not just a number Flexible schedules allow you to focus on your personal life as well as work life Lunch gatherings and social activities promote fun and camaraderie Support charities and your community through events sponsored and hosted by Interstates Interstates Core Values: Integrity Trust Quality Dependability Family Our Why: Providing opportunities for our people Making a difference with our clients Pursuing a better way Responsibilities Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities: Review and analyze bid specifications, bid drawings and all other bid documents to prepare estimates Consult with clients and vendors to prepare estimates Develop detailed scope of work for proposal documents Build complete estimates of project costs using pricing tools Responsible for communications and collaboration with internal team members concerning the estimates Attend job walks, pre-bid meetings, collaborations, and conferences with clients and design professionals Determine and price value-engineered alternatives to plans and specifications Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed, and calm manner Other duties may be assigned Additional Essential Functions: Work alongside other estimators, project managers, and project engineers on change-orders and cost-to-complete estimates of ongoing projects Help create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans and specs work Additional duties as assigned by management Qualifications Education and/or Experience: 2-year degree or Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
