About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you play a vital role in the healthcare journey of our customers and patients. You are the bridge between clinical expertise and compassionate care, ensuring that every interaction leaves a positive impression. Your work goes beyond filling prescriptions; you are responsible for engaging customers, resolving issues, and modeling best practices that define a distinctive and delightful experience.
In this position, you will operate under the supervision of pharmacists to support the daily practice of pharmacy in strict accordance with state, federal, and company policies. Your day involves a dynamic mix of clinical support, operational precision, and customer service. You will assist in the dispensing process, manage inventory, handle cash registers, and process third-party claims. Additionally, you may support clinical services, such as collecting samples, and help maintain the pharmacy's cleanliness and organization.
You will also serve as a coach to pharmacy technicians and cashiers, driving efficiency through the correct use of processes and tools. By fostering strong relationships with the local medical community and supporting the Pickup program, you contribute to the broader growth and success of the pharmacy department.

Requirements
- verifiedPTCB or ExCPT certification
- verifiedOne year of work experience as a pharmacy technician
- verifiedFluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- verifiedWillingness to work flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours
- verifiedWillingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire
Nice to Have
Prior work experience with Walgreens. Basic math skills (counting, measuring, and weighing medications). Basic level PC skills (e.g., starting/shutting down computers, using a mouse, switching between programs, saving files, printing documents, accessing information online). Knowledge of store inventory control.
