As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you play a vital role in supporting the pharmacist and ensuring a distinctive, delightful customer experience for every patient who walks through our doors. You will be the face of our pharmacy, engaging with customers to resolve issues, answer questions, and build strong relationships with our most valuable clients. Your work ensures that prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of care and compliance.
Your day involves a dynamic blend of clinical support and customer service. Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, you will utilize pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, enter data accurately, and assist in filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring medications. You will verify medicine accuracy and check for possible interactions, reporting any errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
Beyond the counter, you will handle telephone calls to physicians, process manual claims for third-party programs, and support inventory management activities such as ordering and storing pharmaceuticals. You may also assist in administering clinical services, including collecting blood or urine samples, and help coordinate with healthcare clinics and external providers. Your commitment to maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly pharmacy environment ensures a professional setting for both staff and patients.
Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours. We encourage those with prior retail experience or a background with Walgreens to apply. PTCB certification is preferred and may be a condition for promotion to a senior technician role.

Six months of experience in a retail environment. Prior work experience with Walgreens. Good math skills for filling prescriptions accurately (counting, measuring, weighing). Good computer skills. Knowledge of store inventory control. PTCB certification.
